MEGAN FOX, of course. The shoot is gorgeous, Megan looks so good, and the video released with the shoot introduced me to The Magnetic Fields!! It's all totally epic. Plus it's a Megan photo shoot where she's in cool clothing and not hardly covered up like those men magazines like to dress her in. So, thank you. It's one of my favorite Megan shoots EVER.

I'd say Megan Fox - her outfit is by far the most original, and she wears it well. Everyone else, minus Kristen, seems to be trying way too hard - Anna Paquin is so stiff, Olivia Thirlby's legs are just too over the top (I do love her, though) and I'm sick to death of Karen O.
And can I just say - sorry Nylon, my love for you was once irrefutable - but overexposure much? Lily, the 2nd Sienna, Megan and Blake (I honestly just typed out Serena, oh dear) are the only ones who look like they've been photographed well in these. I'm not a fan of the lighting, I don't know what the idea was, maybe I'm not 'getting' it..

most of them suck. especially hilary duff! you guys really need to be more diverse and get fresh new faces. women of color would be greatly appreciated. Solange, Janelle Monae, Zoe Kravitz, Kid Sister just to name a few. most of these girls don't even seem nylon cover worthy. the old nylon covers were way better.

Lily Allen definitely, though it was a difficult decision. The interview was wonderful, the photos beautiful, and her awesome, on-a-whim haircut was 100% nifty. Runner-ups were Sienna Miller (stunning), Olivia Thirlby and Kat Dennings (gorgeous shots and a great interview with Olivia, though Kat's interview completely changed my opinion of her and NOT in a good way), and Kristen Stewart (classic edge). Megan Fox, Lindsay Lohan, and Hilary Duff were rather unexpected appearances, but done in a creative and appealing fashion.

all the covers are great,and it's impossible to just pick 1.I definitely like the one with anna paquin. Karen O is definitely the most edgy and provocative. A cover like her's will make Nylon stand out from the pack of other glossy fashion magazines targeted toward the same demographic. However, I was quite disappointed. I have been reading Nylon religiously for the past two years and upon clicking on the link to see all the magazine covers for the year collectively made me realize how Nylon has succumbed to featuring the "same" cover girl for the past year and a half. Unless you squint really hard it becomes quite difficult to start distingushing one starlet from another. I was quite startled when you featured Paris Hilton last year on the cover, so it should have come as no surprise that the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, and Megan Fox were soon to follow, but I must admit I still held out a little bit of hope that Nylon would revert to the formula which originally made them so popular and feature girls that are hip, sexy, edgy, and truly passionate about their talents. If we wanted to read about Lindsay Lohan or Hilary Duff we could buy Teen Vogue or Cosmopolitan or wait a few months at least. They all recycle the same celebrities anyway. Girls such as Portia Doubleday, Polly Scattergood and Santigold are perfect for the cover of Nylon and will reinstill the love for the magazine that many readers still cleave to in the depths of their heart, underneath the layers of disappointment. Please don't be afraid to feature girls who don't happen to be Caucasian or will be on the cover of every major fashion magazine in the next two months. You've introduced your readers to so much Nylon, please don't succumb to the pressures of what you perceive "to sell." We won't betray you, we promise.

The reason we like nylon it's because it is different! please Vampire Diaries!? Megan Fox!? Hilary Duff? Lindsay Lohan!that's too commercial!I know a magazine needs to be commercial, that's the point even with the 'indie' stuff, they're commercial but nylon has to be better 'cause it was once, it can be any good as you guys want it to be, please, i love nylon, so hope it will get girls like Regina spektor, Santigold, Feist, FLORENCE WELCH! :)

I loved the one with Kristen Stewart. I fell in love with it after I watched the video of the featured shoot. She seemed so cool! Also the almost famous issue was my favorite..that whole issue is amazing!!

NYLON is an AMAZING magazine. they rocked 2009 as well as the years before. commenter "NYLON no more", you can stick your worthless opinion down your butt hole and stay constipated for a week &nd 3 days. NYLON IS RAD. end of story.

i loved blake and lindsays outfits.
but sienna millers was by far the best in my opinion because it was differentiated by being playful :)
however, it was nice to see hduff on the cover, some people cant separate her from disney and her fans appreciate her being taken seriously.

Karen O, Sienna Miller, and of course Kat+ Olivia. All great covers. NYLON was the first mag in YEARS that I bought to read (I needed something for my 2 hour train ride) and it was the Karen O cover. I'm a huge fan. Now I've subscribed because let me tell ya: I ate that issue up.
Now, to my only concern: There were NO people of color on any covers (except Karen I suppose, can't deny that she's mixed and all the more lovely for it).
As a chica of mixed background it'd be sweet to see a cover with someone a bit more like me. Y'know, an alternative style but not WHITE.
All of the suggestions by commentors were great.
PS: Florence Welch is gonna be HUGE in 2010, I can feel it. Get her on a cover asap. I know you did an article on her but still get on that! Her album Lungs was nearly perfect.

I have to say, 2009 covers were not that great....
If I had to pick my favorite covers, they'll probably be Karen O, Kristen Stewart, and Anna Paquin.

i have changed my mind again, but this time i think that my answer is final.
megan fox looks amazing on the october cover, although i don't really like her that much. even though she is a bit mainstream, she pulls this of so well. but i also like the one of sienna miller with the glasses. it makes me smile, because it is so fun and playful. and kristen stewart comes on a third place, only becomes i like the glasses that she is holding, and the graphics.
however, i am looking at the covers for nylon mexico at this very moment, and i think that you have some competition over there. the one of kristen stewart is my favourite. she looks so incredibly beautiful, and the most of the other covers also look really good.
and maybe that was the problem with the most of the american covers last year - you chose the "wrong" pictures for the covers, because i think that most of the pictures you take are fantastic.

Kristen, Kat and Olivia and the gorgeous Blake Lively were my faves. It seems like Lindsay hasn't made any movies for a long time, so I'm not really that interested in seeing her on the cover. Ditto Megan Fox until she does something more interesting than Transformers!
