A for effort (on the photographer's part) These kids looks are all so played out. This mustn't be a study on new ideas but a menagerie of last years played out looks. Don't they know clean cuts the new punk rock? The bangs are still nice though.

Looking through these pictures was the funnest thing I've done all day! You guys seriously need to do this more often. Some of the outfits were overplayed and too trendy, but for the most part I could tell the people were wearing what they wanted to wear and thought they looked damn good and that's what fashion means to me! These pics also gave me some good ideas for things I could put together in my closet. Do this more often!

If you ask me, about two of those outfits actually look good. The rest seem to be a bunch of people who have decided to layer their clothes randomly (poorly at that, stop encouraging "indie" style) or people who wear clothes that fit them poorly. Really Nylon, you can do better.

Sweardown I went to New York in January and I can honestly say no one in New york knows how to dress.
With the best deals in the world for clothes and walking around everyone looked scruffy. No one seemed to try, and some seemed to over do it. No concept of balance. They looked like shit.

Wow. With all the hype about New York fashion, that was rather disapointing. Sure there were some nice peices but Ive seen better on the streets of my home town in Australia.
Too much "trendiness" in New York. Just looks like everyone's tryna outdo eachother and they just end up lookin like crap. Like those two girls on the fourth row, third one along. Wayy to much attention on the top of thier bodies, they look as though they are about to fall over. Quite disapointing indeed.
