Uhm, call me old fashioned, but anything you wear under a skirt that is comprised mostly of nylon are NOT pants. especially if you can see your "woo hoo" lol.
Tell me you'd go out in public wearing tights and NO skirt... No, you wouldn't. and that's why they are NOT pants.

Why not be pants? We already wear super skinny jeans. I agree, they aren't for everyone. I can't wear flared jeans, they make my legs look so short. Everyone has a different body and can't wear just anything. Now, if they are see through, make sure you have something long enough to cover up. But like all fashion, you just have to pair it with the right top and accessories. I'm all for it though.

As long as you cant see where the crotch of the tights starts, because then its just sloppy and gross looking.

Tights or leggings? Cause there's a big difference... Leggings are thicker and yes, they were definitely used as pants. What are leggings if not skinny-legged sweatpants, think about it. Tights are more transparent and if I'm not mistaken, the models in the above photos are wearing dresses over the tights.

tights are not pants. tights are tights, the day someone puts pockets on them, that's where we draw the line. It's ok that they are worn, but camel toe and panty line kills the deal. tights are tights, not pants. i hate the tights and short tee shirt outfits.

Tights are not pants. This is why they are called "tights" and not "pants." Hullo.
That seems like a basic vocab lesson if you ask me. Feel free to wear them with sweaters, t's- whatev. But if your top doesn't go at least to where you'd wear a skirt with bear legs- please! Spare us!

And by the way. Yes Nylon did have an article promoting tights as pants but Nylon has a lot of different writers with many different ideas and personally I'd like to see two people writing on the pros and cons of topics like this. Then the people who like tights could find out the best places to buy them and the people who don't could hear about trendy alternatives.

I agree with U. The line is amazing and I would totally ROCK the tights. Pants don't show off the shape of your leg the way the tights do.
